AC EMI Filters from Captor Corporation

EMI filters reduce the negative effects of electromagnetic interference (EMI) generated by electric or electronic devices. EMI can interfere with the operation of nearby equipment that isn’t properly shielded, causing issues such as interrupted signals, degraded power transmission, equipment failure, and even permanent damage to an electrical or electronic component.

Proper shielding and filtering systems can reduce the noise affecting the system by grounding and protecting power and signal lines. Two types of EMI that devices should have protection against include conducted EMI, which travels through physical media like lines and wires, and radiated EMI, which passes through the air.

At Captor Corporation, we specialize in designing and manufacturing high-performance AC EMI filters for use across the aerospace, commercial, defense, and electronic industries. We can provide our clients with standard and custom filters to ensure uninterrupted, high-integrity performance across electric and electronic assemblies. AC EMI Filter

AC Three Phase EMI Filter Line

Three phase EMI filters offer robust noise suppression in industrial applications, ranging from test equipment to medical devices, motors, and more.

Our AC three phase EMI filter line meets the following specifications:

  • Voltage Rating: 120/208 VAC @ 50/60 Hz and 400 Hz
  • Visual/Mechanical: Per MIL-PRF-15733, paragraph 4.6.1
  • Insulation Resistance: 1500 MΩ minimum per MIL-STD-202, Method 302
  • DWV : 1000 VDC line-to-line & line-to-chassis per MIL-STD-202, Method 301

These AC EMI filters are available in a range of dimensions to suit various needs, and they meet applicable military standards regarding terminal strength, insertion loss, and voltage drop. They can also withstand operating temperatures ranging from -55° C to 71° C.

AC Three Phase With Filtered Neutral EMI Filter Line

Along with AC three phase EMI filters, we also design and build units with filtered neutral EMI filters that operate similarly. They meet the following specifications:

  • Voltage Rating: 120/208 VAC @ 50/60 Hz and 400 Hz
  • Visual/Mechanical: Per MIL-PRF-15733, paragraph 4.6.1
  • Insulation Resistance: 1500 MΩ minimum per MIL-STD-202, Method 302
  • DWV : 1000 VDC line-to-line & line-to-chassis per MIL-STD-202, Method 301

These units can be used in a wide range of environmental conditions, with an operating temperature ranging from -55° C to 71° C and a safe storage temperature ranging from -55° C to 105°C. These filters also meet military standards for terminal strength, insertion loss, and voltage drop.

AC Single Phase EMI Filter Line

Single phase EMI filters protect small industrial and residential equipment from electromagnetic noise. Our single phase EMI filter line meets the following specifications:

  • Voltage Rating: 125/250 VAC @ 50/60 Hz and 400 Hz
  • Visual/Mechanical: Per MIL-PRF-15733, paragraph 4.6.1
  • Insulation Resistance: 1500 MΩ minimum per MIL-STD-202, Method 302
  • DWV : 1000 VDC line-to-line & line-to-chassis per MIL-STD-202, Method 301

Custom EMI Filter Capabilities

Along with our wide selection of standard EMI filters, our team of experienced design and electrical experts can create custom filters based on your system’s unique needs. We have created over 10,000 designs that are rated to meet the specifications and needs of highly demanding military, aerospace, industrial, and commercial systems.
