Shielded-Facility Room EMI Filters

Shielded Facility Room Power Line FiltersDepending on the application, EMI shielded room filters can protect environments from electromagnetic disturbances or shield rooms from external electromagnetic interference. Secured areas and shielded rooms frequently use these RF-shielded room filters.

The EMI filters from Captor Corporation include several features and specifications to provide sufficient protection for various applications. For increased durability, we use stainless steel construction for our modified NEMA 1 type enclosures. Attenuation on the clean side is greater than 100 dB from 14KHz or 100KHz to 10 GHz in accordance with MIL-STD-220. Additionally, our EMI filters feature voltage ratings of 277/480 VAC at 60 Hz and current ratings of 50-800A.

Specifications for EMI Shielded Room Filters

To ensure our EMI shielded room filters provide consistent protection, we’ve built them with a variety of specifications that allow for optimum performance. Some of the specifications for our EMI filters include:

  • Voltage Rating: 277/480 VAC @ 60 Hz
  • Current Rating: 50 through 800 Amperes
  • Insulation Resistance: Measured per MIL-PRF-15733 before the installation of the discharge resistor
  • Dielectric Withstanding Voltage: 2250 VDC line-to-chassis per MIL-STD-202, Method 301 before discharge resistor installation
  • Voltage Drop: Less than 1% of rated voltage per paragraph 4.6.8 of MIL-PRF-15733
  • Voltage Discharge: Discharge to less than 30 Volts within the 30s after power removal
  • Operating Temperature: -40 C to +65 C
  • Storage Temperature: -55 C to +105 C
  • Insertion Loss: Measured per MIL-STD-220
